Azaleas

We will no longer be shipping Azalea plants this season.

The Satsuki Azalea is the most popular type of azalea used in bonsai art today. We list mostly many Satsuki Hybrids which are characterized by excellent foliage and showy blooms. Varieties listed perform well in both sun and shade. Satsuki azaleas are also hardy and established gallons can take temperatures down to below zero and perform well from zone 8 to zone 6.  The blooming period extends from mid-May to July for some of the varieties.  We hope to be adding more varieties to our selection in the future.  We do not guarantee the readiness for bonsai use; but we do try to promote central stem in gallons and do our best to select plant with best qualities for your use.  If you are looking for a special variety ... just let us know, we offer over 100 varieties, inquire on availability (see list at bottom of page)
