Sakhalin Spruce (picea glehnii) A Native spruce of Japan & Russia. This fine gem has been a favorite for bonsai cultivation in Japan. This spruce is rather slow in first 4 years of growth exhibiting very small blue-green needles. The bark forms a deep dark brown color and flakes with age. Needs full sun. 6 yr old plant. 6 to 8 inches tall.
